I have not exactly thrown away ten (10) years of my investment in long-hair. I just needed a change.
Since styling and maintaining long hair requires time and money, my dear kabarkada Pau told me that it is an investment. Of what? Perhaps to attract boys. Nahhh... I don't believe so, but if it's really one factor, that I should really cut my hair short.
Another reason is that I had damaged hair at the back section (near the neck) where the straightening cream is first applied. The experimenting application became overdue when rinsed. Since then, I have been suffering from hair loss everytime I rinse and comb my hair. The hair loss experience was really shocking, as if I have a deadly illness that im going to die the next day.
I've been telling some people lately to say goodbye to my long hair. And my mom protested. She doesn't want me to have it cut short since it wouldn't look that good with the toga. [So I have to grow it long by the end of May -- graduation march of UST-AMV BS Accountancy graduates].
At the parlor, even the hair stylist asked me several times, "Sigurado ka na ba?", "Walang sisihan ha!", "Game ka na ba?", "Sure na?" and I answered yes on all questions.
Now it's short. =)
